<Quote> gee, all this over plastic trophies for toy car racing! :-) </Quote> LOL I Agree here and the K.I.S.S. method works best. IMO.

Latest set of generic 1/8 GT Rules as of May 1, 2012

Ha! I agree with you guys, 101%

Anyway, here's the latest version of the rules, simplified a little, and hopefully a bit easier to read.

If I've done this properly, the first part should be generic enough for all forms of 1/8 GT racing. A selection of rules from the second part will fine-tune the rules for every group I know about. The first set of basic rules could be applied to a ROAR 1/8 GT Class; a combination of some of the additional rules from the second section would allow the rules to work for "spec" racing. It would be good if someone who knows more about this than I do, could fill in some of the _________ with useful information for 1/8 GT.

ok here is what i have found measuring my gtp gtp2-e and 2 different buggies wheel base 310-330 wheel base width was 311-315 now 3 different bodies lenght 577-610 and widths from 317 to 330

i did measure the wheel base on one truggy chassis wheel base on that was 355

It would be helpful if you can ask around, and find out if there are any numbers already established for the class.

Just curious - why do we even have wheelbase listed here? Is that something we want to control, or should it be open?

hmmm good question but it vary the scale of the vehical i could see having a long wheel base and a short wheel base car depending on track

but being buggy based should they not follow current roar buggy specs? of 270-330

i suppose it don't really matter but for roar to take it serious wouldn't you think it should be in there? isnt that the partially the point of this excersize in futility to be able to put something on the table they can work with?

Agreed; silly idea on my part.
