Registration
for the Starting Grid Computer Conferences is free. Donations to help keep the system running are
gladly accepted. We do insist that
you abide by the rules and policies detailed below.

Most
conferences are “open”, and can be joined by any user. Others
(such as the ROAR conferences) require asking the conference “fair-witness” to
add you to the user list before you can actively
participate.

Although the administrators and “fair-witnesses” of the
Conferences will attempt to keep all objectionable messages off this system,
it is impossible for us to review all messages. All messages express the views
of the author, and the owners of Starting Grid will not be held responsible
for the content of any message.

By using the system,
you warrant that you will not post any messages that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-orientated,
hateful, threatening, or otherwise violate any laws. Considering
the real-time nature of computer conferencing, it is impossible for
the system operators to review messages or confirm the validity of information
posted. Please remember that we do not actively monitor the contents of
posted messages and are not responsible for any messages posted. We do not
vouch for or warrant the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of any message, and are
not responsible for the contents of any message. The messages express the views
of the author of the message, not necessarily the views of this system or any
entity associated with this system. Any user who feels that a posted message is
objectionable is encouraged to contact us immediately by sending an email to
the “fair-witness” of the conference in which it was entered, or to “mikem @
rc-racing.com”. We have the ability to remove objectionable messages and
we will make every effort to do so, within a reasonable time frame, if we
determine that removal is necessary. This is a manual process, however, so
please realize that we may not be able to remove or edit particular messages
immediately. The owners and operators of
the Starting Grid Conferences reserve the right to remove, edit, move or close
any discussion for any reason.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you
will not use this computer conferencing system to post any material which is
knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful,
harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a
person's privacy, or otherwise violate any law. You agree not to post any
copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or by this computer
conferencing system.

Although
this system does not and cannot review the messages posted and is not
responsible for the content of any of these messages, we at this system reserve
the right to delete any message for any or no reason whatsoever. You remain
solely responsible for the content of your messages. We at this system also
reserve the right to reveal your identity (or whatever information we know
about you) in the event of a complaint or legal action arising from any message
posted by you.
Please note that advertisements and solicitations are not
allowed on this system unless they are posted in an appropriate place.
Multiple user names are also not allowed.

Finally,
please remember this is a community of RC enthusiasts of all ages. Exercise
good judgment with respect to the content and language used. This isn't a Conference
for free speech with respect to the ability to use foul or otherwise
disrespectful language. Please keep a positive tone in all items and posts to
encourage maximum participation. By using the
conferences you declare that you are over the age of 13. If you are 13 or
under, please have your parents create an account that they will let you
use.
